This meticulously crafted replica incorporates both light and sound effects actually taken from the movie, providing an authentic experience.
Drawing from primary & secondary research of the screen used prop (pictured below). A body of research was collected that included auction house images, notes from access of a screen used original and consultations with the Paramount Picture Prop Makers Max Cervantes & Michael Moore. To create the most accurate replica to have been made.
A highly detailed CAD model was then generated and designed as a real world production model by created it in multiple components for 3D printing. Also space and fittings were incorporated internally for the electronic light & sound effects powered by an Arduino Nano (microcontroller).
Although created to look identical to the movie designs. The user was kept in mind by delivering the ultimate experience of holding a prop based in the 23rd century. All pads and grips are coated with a rubberised black paint used for car interiors that gives a tactile feel to the prop when handled.
And unlike other replicas using light & sound effects. All the activating switches and buttons are either hidden or incorporated into the sleek design so not to disrupt the illusion of the world building design.
